Trevor Ariza officially became the most traded player in NBA history

The last couple of days were extremely intense in the NBA with the draft night and the free agency that got everyone on their heels. There were already several big-time moves, and we’ve seen many players change jerseys, and a few of them got traded more than once in a few days. One of them is the experienced veteran Trevor Ariza, who officially became the most traded player in NBA history.

At the age of 34, Ariza is in his 16th NBA season, and most recently, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The last games in which he played were for the Portland Trailblazers, but they soon parted ways. There is even a high possibility he will once again get traded somewhere else for draft picks. We’ve highlighted all the trades that happened so far in his career.

  1. February 2006, Ariza traded to the Orlando Magic.
  2. November 2007, Ariza traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.
  3. August 2010, Ariza traded to the New Orleans Hornets.
  4. June 2012, Ariza traded to the Washington Wizards.
  5. July 2014, Ariza traded to the Houston Rockets.
  6. December 2018, Ariza traded to the Washington Wizards.
  7. January 2020, Ariza traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.
  8. November 2020, Ariza traded to the Houston Rockets.
  9. November 2020, Ariza traded to the Detroit Pistons.
  10. November 2020, Ariza traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In a great piece by Luke Norris from Sports Casting, he listed all the players who were traded the most in NBA history. The names on the list are Dale Ellis, Billy Owens, Don MacLean, Chris Gatling, and now Trevor Ariza, who took the throne as the most traded player of all-time. Unfortunately for him, he will probably get traded soon, so watch out for another change in his long NBA resume.
