Through adversity to the stars

Through adversity to the stars

A guy who already had enough struggle for 3 lives in his early childhood was born on this day in 1982. We covered Wade’s early days in this article, to sum it up, his mother battled addiction and when he was eight years old his sister decided it wasn’t safe for Dwayne and took him to live with their father. He introduced him to basketball and his relationship with the game began.

With a phenomenal performance in the NBA Finals 2006, Wade brought Miami the first NBA title in the history of the franchise. During the Finals against Dallas Mavericks Wade scored on average incredible 34 points with 8 assists per game.

For a long time, Wade was the first name and trademark of the franchise. The first offensive option of the team and one of the best offensive players of the league despite the fact he did not have a God’s talent for a shot like some other NBA stars on his position. In the second part of his career, he slowed down and made room for LeBron James, which some see as a virtue, and another as a shadow over his career.
