THE BUCKS AND MAGIC BOYCOTT game 5 to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake

The Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic have decided to boycott today’s playoff game and are protesting against the killing of Jacob Blake in Kenosha.

It was the first who initiated the boycott, and the Magic players soon followed their way. The Bucks initially didn’t even participate in warmups while the Magic players left the court with 4 minutes left on the clock before tip-off. The referees were also confused and had to see why the players are not coming out and are now engaged in the conversation we still have no details about.

Numerous NBA players were pretty vocal about the whole issue and the fact African-Americans and other minorities are not treated fairly in the US. Bucks guard George Hill shared that he’s had enough, and it’s time to challenge the injustice.

There are even mentions that the Raptors and Celtics players are also discussing the opportunity to boycott games. Whether these actions will draw some repercussions from the NBA remains to be seen, but we’re definitely living in an era where players decided to take some things in their own hands.
