Jacques Dominique Wilkins, an iconic NBA figure, was born in Paris, France, due to his father's Air Force service. Although he made his debut in the Association with the Utah Jazz, he is mostly remembered for his contributions to the Atlanta Hawks franchise.

As one of the best high-flyers the game has ever seen, 'Nique won the Slam Dunk Contest in 1990. He was also a bona fide bucket-getter for the Hawks, having won one scoring title in the process as well.

In the later stages of his career, he ventured to the Clippers and Celtics, and he even played overseas, extending his Hall of Fame career across the pond.
