Stephen Curry offers support for Kevin Durant and the frustration he feels with all the free agency rumors

After last night’s win against the San Antonio Spurs, Kevin Durant got in a deep confrontation with the media and how they’ve treated him over the past couple of weeks, especially surrounding the rumors of him joining the New York Knicks this summer.

Durant was obviously frustrated with the questions reporters were asking him after being silent for the past 9 days when he decided not to speak with any of the reporters. After a round of questions, Durant fired back at them saying he doesn’t trust any of them especially when they twist his words around.

I just don’t trust none of y’all. Every time I say something it gets twisted up and thrown out in so many different publications — try to take me down with my words that I say. So when I don’t say nothing, that’s a problem. I just wanna play ball. I wanna go to the gym and go home. That’s all. Is that a problem?

Stephen Curry who is very close with Durant said that Durant can’t control what happens in the media. So far he has proven to be a great teammate and the only thing the Warriors want from him is to stay focused on basketball in order for them to have a three-peat this season.

Honestly, I think it’s him not being able to control his own voice in terms of him talking only about basketball and that is what he should do. What he can’t control is what happens in the media or the people making the decisions for him or all this other stuff. In terms of him just playing basketball,  focusing on what happens there on the 94 feet.  Being there for us as his teammates and us being there for him. That is what he can control and I think he is doing a great job at that. All this other stuff is, I wouldn’t call it a distraction but from his standpoint frustrating. The only thing we are worrying about is the way he plays basketball if he is a good teammate and all this other stuff, and I think he is doing a great job at that.
