Almost nobody thought Clippers would push the Warriors this far in the first round of the playoffs. Most of NBA analysts thought that the Warriors would end the Clippers in 5 games at most, however, the Clippers came out to play every night and made Warriors fight for every possession. After game five some even thought the Clippers have what it takes to beat the Warriors and maybe provide one of the biggest surprises in recent NBA history, but unfortunately for them and their fans that didn’t happen.
After yesterday’s night win, Stephen Curry came out and congratulated the Clippers on their efforts and challenges they presented in this series. Curry also said the six games against them felt like it lasted for over two months and has been a roller coaster for the team.
“Honestly, these six games felt like two months. From all the different adjustments and emotional roller coasters from game two and their comeback and losing game five, and how we bounced back in between. They tested us and really played amazing. They really made us raise our level of play and tonight we did that.”
In the next round, the Warriors will face the Rockets who have pushed the Warriors to their limits last year in the western conference finals. The Rockets had more time to rest and will be fully prepared for game one, while on the other hand, the Warriors will need to find the time to recuperate get emotionally and strategically ready for a team that will be a much harder task then the Clippers.
