Scottie Pippen would add Tim Duncan instead of LeBron James into the All-Time starting five

The never-ending debate on the best starting five in NBA history is a topic of discussion among fans pretty much every day, especially on social media. Opinions may differ, but there are always interesting players who come to people’s mind when naming the best starting five in the entire NBA history.

Stephen A. Smith created his all-time best team, and it even featured three players from this era which are Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James. He also added Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal to this lineup, which pretty much makes it invincible on paper.

He also brought Scottie Pippen and Max Kellerman to the show, who expressed a bit different views to his starting five. Pippen said he would replace LeBron James with Tim Duncan while Kellerman would add Hakeem Olajuwon to the starting lineup.

I know people would hate me for this, but I’d probably go with Tim Duncan.

Smith based his opinion on the rules from this era of basketball while Pippen, on the other hand, was thinking of a team that would be good overall. Nevertheless, this team would be dominant in any era simply because of the amount of talent and basketball IQ it possesses.
