Scottie Pippen reveals which are some of the most unguardable moves in NBA history

In an episode of the show “The Jump,” Scottie Pippen was asked about some of the most unguardable moves in NBA history he had to face during his long career.

The famous “Sky Hook” from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was the first move that came to Scottie’s mind, and there shouldn’t be a lot of surprises there. Kareem scored so many points with that shot, and there is even a debate among fans and experts if that shot can even be blocked.

“I think that shot kind of escaped the game, kinda left with the great. There is no one who really teaches it. I’ve seen guys use jump hooks but not the skyhook. Kareem was one of the greatest scorers in the NBA and you have to be a scorer in order to accept that kind of shot.”

Scottie was asked to talk about some of Jordan’s best moves he would use on his opponents and on Scottie during practice. Pippen also believes the dream shake from Hakeem is one of the most unstoppable shots in NBA history.

“Jordan would mostly back down and use his fade-away shot from the baseline. I think one of the most unguardable plays is the dream-shake from Hakeem Olajuwon.”

Pippen started his career in the late 80’s so he was still able to witness Kareem’s skyhook, and throughout his career in the ’90s, he faced many all-time greats like Hakeem, who also had their own patent move that would get them buckets.

On the other hand, Pippen had to play against Jordan almost every day at practice, so he was able to witness every trick Jordan had in his book of tricks. Many times it was said Jordan has no weakness in his game and based on what Pippen said, the fade-away game is something Jordan built to perfection during the years and can still be seen by many players in the NBA today.
