SCOTTIE PIPPEN ON MARKELLE FULTZ: I hate to be the one to say this, but Fultz has been a bust.

There’s been a lot of hushing around lately but this is the first time someone has officially called the #1 pick of the 2017 NBA Draft — Markelle Fultz, a BUST! Fultz is simply not the player the Sixers thought he would be and right now it is obvious they exploring their options with him. Fultz is no longer considered to be the core of ‘The Process’.

During the Christmas Eve show of ESPN’s ‘The Jump’, Scottie Pippen, Rachel Nichols and Amin Elhassan discussed Fultz and the major road-block he’s currently facing. Here’s what Scottie had to say about the entire situation.

I hate to be the one to say this, but Fultz has been a bust. It’s very obvious now, that he’s not the player they drafted, and they realize that, and they’re not finding any takers for him. I do think that this is the last of him in a Sixers uni. Right now, his future doesn’t look good.

One month ago, Fultz allegedly requested to be traded from the Sixers. This request was soon denied by his agent. It remains unclear what is going on with Fultz and what is behind his underperformance in the League, because if you go back and watch his college highlights — he was a legitimate lottery pick!

Not everyone can cope with being in the spotlight, day in and day out. It is unfathomably stressful and sometimes the transition from college superstar to global basketball superstar isn’t easy. It will be interesting to see how this situation develops and I hope Fultz finds a suitable team for him where he can finally prove he wasn’t a one year college wonder.
