RUSSELL WESTBROOK WAS FURIOUS at Rajon Rondo’s brother who was trash-talking him during the game: ‘People at the game are supposed to shut your mouth’

The last night’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets featured an unexpected scene at the end of the game when it was clear the Lakers are going to the WCF. Right after Rajon Rondo received a technical foul, Rondo brother William started trash-talking Russell Westbrook, which caused him to get escorted from the facility.

Westbrook was especially frustrated because of this, and he started talking back to Rondo’s brother. Westbrook’s frustration was evident mostly because of the fact the Rockets were getting blown out by the Lakers, and the trash-talking incident was just the icing on the cake.

After the game, Westbrook said people who can watch the games from the sidelines need to shut up and just watch the game. Westbrook said he doesn’t want to participate in that type of mind games, but he was clearly frustrated by the situation.

“People at the game are supposed to shut your mouth and watch the game. That’s the rules, especially when you have family and people here. Since Rondo was talking (expletive), he wanted to hop in, too. But it’s OK. It’s all good. I get it. He wanted to take up for his brother. I don’t know for what, but that’s it. Those rules stand for everybody, though, no matter who it is, family, whatever. But when you cross that line, then he’s supposed to be at home. There’s no rules or regulations for that. But he started talking crazy, and I don’t play that game.”

Westbrook had a terrible game against the Lakers, scoring only 10 points, and despite being a great player, he didn’t add much value to the Rockets in a game that they needed to win. This was probably one of the reasons why he was so furious. Still, the main question and concerns about this team are whether their system works and how they can bounce back for the next season in which Westbrook will definitely need to make some changes to his game if they want to be competitive in the western conference.
