Last night gave us a couple of really good games however, the one between Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz was a true threat and without a doubt one of the most exciting games this year.
In a double-overtime thriller in Oklahoma City, the dynamic duo of Paul George and Russell Westbrook put on a show combining for 88 points, 24 rebounds, and 15 assists while at the same time shooting exceptionally well from the field. This resulted in a big win against the Jazz who were lead by Donovan Mitchell who was also absolutely brilliant scoring 38 points.
OKC won the game 147-148 in a dramatic finish in which Paul George scored a game-winning basket with only 0.8 seconds on the clock. Kyle Korver had a good look from the corner to even win the game but he couldn’t make it.

Coming back to Westbrook and George, they became the fifth highest scoring duo in NBA history and showed how efficient they can both be on both ends of the floor. OKC is currently sitting in the third spot in the western conference and Paul George is without a doubt a true MVP candidate this season.
After the game, George who finished with 45 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists said he actually worked on that shot but how even though he had a big game there were moments when he was out of rhythm and his teammates stepped up.
Had to get it up there. It’s a shot that I work on. Just thank God it went in. I mean we just need these wins. That game winner wouldn’t have happened if the guys didn’t make big shots. Jerami made a big 3, Abdel [Nader] made a big 3. Those guys put me in a position to win this game. The floater wouldn’t have happened if those dudes didn’t make big shots when we needed, because I went cold there for a minute but those dudes stepped up.
Russell Westbrook who also had another monster game said Paul George is one of the most consistent players in the league and that this kind of game is just another proof why he is a big player.
Big players make big plays. Obviously, he’s been making them all year long, and tonight was one of those nights where he made another big play.
Paul George is having a spectacular season so far and has been one of the most consistent players this year. He is averaging a career-high 29 points per game to go along with 8 rebounds and over 4 assists, while at the same time being a very solid defender which can be seen by almost 2.5 steals per game.
