“I was comfortable telling you he peed in the shoes. I’m not comfortable telling you what he did to the hair stuff” — when Shaquille O'Neal pulled a disgusting prank on his teammate

We can only imagine what Shaq did to Amundson's mouthguard, hairbrush and comb.

Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O'Neal will always be known as one of the most dominant players ever to play the game. Most of his competitors never wanted to cross him on the court just because they knew they couldn't stop the 4-time champion in the paint.

Aside from his dominant play, what stood out about Shaq was his hilarious personality and charisma, which many of his teammates and even those around him (like analysts) got to experience firsthand. And based on their stories, it seems that not everybody wanted to cross Shaq when it came to pranks in the locker room because he was as vengeful towards them as he was on the court.

Shaq was a tit for a nuclear guy

During his time with the Phoenix Suns, O'Neal took a tit-for-tat prank to a whole new different level with his teammate Lou Amundson.

One time, Amundson pulled a prank on Shaq by filling his truck with hundreds of tiny pink styrofoam pieces. The Hall-of-Famer didn't take the prank lightly, and he got his revenge by taking a piss on Amundson's shoes. According to former Suns analyst Amin Elhassan, Shaq also messed with Amundson's grooming tools and mouthguard, which he wore during games.

"He goes to Lou's locker, grabs his sneakers, pees in them. That's the start, right? He then goes and let's just say "messes with" some of Lou's haircare devices, like his brush and his comb and stuff. Messes with them. Let me put it this way: Messes with them in a way that – I was comfortable telling you he peed in the shoes. I'm not comfortable telling you what he did to the hair stuff. And then this part, I will tell you: He tampers with Lou's mouth guard," Elhassan shared on "The Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz" local hour.

Shaq and his pranks

Shaq peeing on his teammate's shoes isn't a story we haven't heard before. In fact, he's done worse by once taking a dump on Devean George's shoes. What sounds more extreme in this scenario with poor Amundson was what O'Neal did to his mouthguard and haircare gear, to the point that Elhassan wasn't comfortable revealing it on air.

At the very least, the analyst added a bit of context on what O'Neal might've done to Amundson's mouthguard.

"[Amundson] puts the mouth guard in. One, two [sounds of disgust], takes the mouth guard out and flings it with tremendous accuracy at the bench. Everyone starts dying. I remember going back and watching the broadcast, "Oh, Suns bench seems to be getting a lot of fun." They had no idea what's happening," Elhassan shared.

We might never get the details of Shaq's nauseating comeback for Amundson, but maybe Elhassan was doing all of us a favor by not sharing the details. This hilarious yet disgusting prank exchange between O'Neal and Amundson only highlights how the big man was as a teammate and how extreme he was as a prankster — whether his teammates loved it or not.
