ON THIS DATE, KOBE BRYANT SHARED AN EMOTIONAL MESSAGE AFTER HIS ACHILLES INJURY: "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear"

Kobe Bryant Last Game

On April 13th in 2013, after his Achilles injury against the Golden State Warriors, Kobe Bryant gathered his thoughts and shared an emotional post straight from his heart about the surgery and the process to get back to the game. At the age of 34, Kobe was even considering to retire because he knew he would need at least a year to recover, and with these types of injuries, it's questionable if whether he would be the same players as before.

Exactly three years later, April 13th in 2016 was another important date in Kobe's career because it was his last NBA game three years after his injury. He made a comeback to the NBA, and even though he wasn't the same players as we remembered, it felt like he left the best for last. Kobe scored 60 points in his last NBA game against the Utah Jazz in a packed Staples Center. The Jazz needed that win for a playoff spot, but it was Kobe's farewell night, and he made sure Jazz remember that as well.
