On this date in 1993, Dennis Rodman put up one the most bizarre but yet impressive stat lines of All-Time

Know your role! That is a statement that epitomizes the way Dennis Rodman played throughout his entire career. Ever since he entered the NBA, he focused on being a defensive specialist and the best pure rebounder the game has ever seen. In a game that happened on this date in 1993, Rodman accomplished something that falls under the saying, 'know your role' in the best way possible.

Rodman, a member of the San Antonio Spurs, played in a regular-season game against the Charlotte Hornets. He wasn't so efficient scoring the ball since he finished the game with 0 points, but he grabbed an astonishing 28 rebounds, with 10 of these being offensive rebounds. Rodman played almost the entire game and logged in 45 minutes that night.

On the other hand, the Hornets also had two solid rebounders in Larry Johnson and Alonzo Mourning, but they were simply no match for Rodman that game. Rodman attempted five shots at the basket that game but was unsuccessful in every single one. The Spurs won the game 92-88.

Apart from Rodman, who was tremendous on the glass, David Robinson led all scorers with 31 points, ten rebounds, six assists, and four blocks. Rodman didn't stay long with the Spurs since he got in an altercation with Gregg Popovich, who got rid of him and traded him to the Chicago Bulls. However, that game proved how valuable Rodman was to every team he played for, and gave 100 percent on each possession. Often we've seen him outrebound bigger and stronger players than himself.
