Charles Barkley remembers when he made Karl Malone upset by flopping all over the court

Charles Barkley and Karl Malone were one of the most iconic players from the '90s and will forever be remembered as one of the best power forwards to ever play their positions but also very competitive and tough players rarely seen in today's NBA.

There were numerous duels between them during their careers, however, Barkley always remembers one specific game when he was playing for the Houston Rockets and he faced off against Karl Malone and the Utah Jazz. It was a direct matchup between the two and Barkley was aware of the fact he provoked Malone to the point he was looking for an act of revenge on the other end of the floor.

Barkley said he was expecting Malone to do something, so he put himself in a great position to flop so the refs weren't aware of what's going on. The flop was successfull and the refs called it which made Malone even more frustrated while Barkley on the other hand was satisfied it actually worked.

"What happened was something happened on the other end of the floor. I knew he was mad so I said something to him, making him even more madder and I knew running down the floor he was gonna hit me or come close to hitting me. So time he got close enough for me to breathe I just flopped and he called it. You know me and Karl were roommates in 1982, we spent the summer together and he's one of my best friends but I know how to ride it. I was leaning sideways before he even hit me so it was easy."
