There was only a handful of players that had such an impact on the NBA and the culture, as Allen Iverson did during his career. He established himself as one of the best point guards in NBA history, capable of scoring 30 points on a nightly basis, and even before his NBA career, Iverson was already a superstar. His rookie season was spectacular, and one of his best moments came in a game against the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan himself.

On the 12th of March in 1997, The Philadelphia 76ers were hosting the defending champs, and it was a duel everybody expected because it featured a young Iverson going against his idol. Most rookies would be nervous and afraid, but Iverson had other things on his mind that game. He had a monster game that night, scoring 37 points, putting on a show for the fans.

Even though the Sixers lost that game, it will mostly be remembered by the nasty crossover move Iverson had on Jordan, which brought the crowd into a frenzy. In a recent interview for the House of Highlights, Iverson talked about the mindset he had that game that was necessary for him to have a big game, especially having the best team and the best player going after him all game long.

"I wasn't nervous because at a lot of times, people look at it as being cocky, arrogant, but it's confidence, and my whole thing was everybody knows who Black Jesus is. Everybody knows who number 23 is, but tonight you're going to know who number 3 is. You're going to remember this moment too because I'm here. I didn't look at it like I had to have a great game. All I wanted to do is play harder than everybody else."
