STEPHON MARBURY GOES AFTER JAY-Z: 'You sold drugs to people where you're from'

marbury vs jay-z

Former NBA player Stephon Marbury made a guest appearance on the podcast, where he made some serious accusations against Jay-Z. Hip-Hop culture was always associated with basketball and vice versa, leading to NBA players being great friends with some rap artists. Marbury's case is the complete opposite, and it all started after Jay-Z released the song 'La-la-la,' where he took some shots at Marbury.

Marbury is convinced Jay-Z hasn't done anything good for the African-American community and, quite the contrary did a lot of damage by promoting selling drugs. On top of that, Marbury believes Jay-Z was the one selling them in the first place.

I look at Jay-Z, and I say, 'Wow, here you are trying to be something that you're not. You're not an advocate for Black people, you sold drugs to Black people, and you rapped about it and talked about it. How do you do that? Like, I'm trying to figure that part out; like, you can't make that right. This ain't snitching, this ain't telling on nobody, you told on yourself already. You already told people what it is that you do and how you do it and how you feel about what you're doing. So, how are you rapping about something that you did? I'm confused. I don't know.

Marbury didn't stop there and said Jay-Z sold narcotics to pregnant women, which eventually led to numerous crack babies being born. This is a massive problem in society, and Jay-Z was one reason it progressed to such a degree.

You sold drugs to people where you're from Jay-Z in Brooklyn in Marcy, you got them on crack, you got them on whatever it is c------ whatever it is that you were selling to them. "Whatever you say you was 'cooking up', that's what you did. So now, you got your people high, you sold drugs to women that were pregnant now you created crack babies — these same babies that are going out killing grandparents … I'm confused. But that's what it is. That's what happened.

We know most rappers often brag about things they didn't do, but they saw someone else do it, or rap about things that were the product of their imagination. However, the problem Marbury brought up is real, and it's one of the main reasons why so many families are suffering. On the other hand, Jay-Z talked about doing these things and being apart of, but nobody has any proof, apparently, not even Marbury, who makes these claims.
