Michael Jordan’s son Marcus was seen out with Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife Larsa Pippen

Who would've thought the son of Michael and former wife of Scottie would dine in together decades after their legendary run together in the '90s?

It seems the duo of Jordan and Pippen have reunited — except this time, it's Michael's second oldest son Marcus and Scottie's ex-wife Larsa. According to TMZ, Marcus and Larsa were spotted together on a double date in Miami at a Japanese restaurant. The news outlet obtained photos of Marcus and Larsa, who departed the restaurant together.

The unexpected romance

Since Scottie and Larsa Pippen's relationship ended in divorce in January 2022, the latter has been making headlines with her recent whereabouts. While Larsa is indeed free to date anyone she wants, the public was still shocked to know that she linked up with Marcus — because who would've thought the son of Michael and former wife of Scottie would dine in together decades after their legendary run together in the '90s?

According to TMZ, the so-called "date" was pretty casual as both barely showed any signs of Public Display of Affection (PDA), but it was still notable that they dined in and left the restaurant together.

"Eyewitnesses tell us they were there for about 45 minutes, and that there were no obvious signs of PDA between them. However, our sources say Larsa seemed to be trying to keep a low profile and got a little skittish when she realized folks had spotted her/were taking pics," TMZ reported.

The age gap between Larsa (48) and Marcus (31) is 17 years, which isn't too wild compared to other celebrity relationships. But it's still ironic, unexpected, and bizarre to know that Michael's son and Scottie's former wife are intimate with each other especially knowing the reported status of how rocky the relationship is between the former teammates.

Michael and Scottie's current rocky relationship

Since The Last Dance premiered in April 2020, Pippen has been vocal about his disdain for how Jordan portrayed him and his teammates in his Emmy-award-winning documentary. Michael knew before his documentary aired that his teammates wouldn't appreciate it as much, and true enough, Pippen was among the handful that expressed his frustrations.

"I was nothing more than a prop. His "best teammate of all time," he called me. He couldn't have been more condescending if he tried," Pippen said in his 2021 interview with GQ." Each episode was the same: Michael on a pedestal, his teammates secondary, smaller, the message no different from when he referred to us back then as his "supporting cast." From one season to the next, we received little or no credit whenever we won but the bulk of the criticism when we lost. Michael could shoot 6 for 24 from the field, commit 5 turnovers, and he was still, in the minds of the adoring press and public, the Errorless Jordan," Pippen added.

Michael and Scottie probably wouldn't have chosen anybody else to team up, but it's safe to assume their relationship was strained because of The Last Dance. And now, knowing that Scottie's ex-wife and Michael's son are reportedly going on dates together? What an awkward dynamic and situation to be in for both families involved.
