The Los Angeles Lakers have missed the playoffs for another season and this is by far the longest streak for them not competing in a single game after the regular season. LeBron James on the other hand, hasn't missed the playoffs in over a decade and finishing the season earlier this year might be a perfect opportunity for him to rest and work on his game.
The fans and the media are wondering if LeBron James will even play a single game for the rest of the regular season or he plans to sit out the last 10 games. In a recent interview after the game, LeBron James said he has to respect the "basketball gods" at this point of the season when they know a won game doesn't mean much. LeBron believes he will still make an impact every time he's steps on the floor.
"I said when I'm on the floor. When I'm on the floor I got to play my game no matter what the circumstances, no matter how many minutes I'm on the floor. I have always respected the basketball gods and if I'm on the floor I gotta play as hard as I can or do something to affect the game and not cheat the game. If I'm on the floor, if I'm in uniform, I have to make things happen. I'm not saying I'm going to make every shot, I'm not saying I will make every play and not have any turnovers but I just try to make the impact on the game."
