Former NBA player Lamar Odom announced he would fight Aaron Rogers in a three-round boxing match scheduled for June 12 at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. It seems celebrity boxing matches have become quite a popular thing recently, with former musicians, athletes, and celebrities, in general, decide to test out their boxing skillset in very lucrative financial deals.

In a recent interview for VladTV, Lamar talked about his upcoming match with Aaron Rogers and what that will look like for him since he is coming to an unknown territory. Lamar wanted to do this for quite some time, and now that the opportunity presented itself, he plans to make the best out of it. On top of that, Lamar hopes to fight the famous YouTuber Jake Paul after his fight against Rogers.

That was tight. I think I manifested this whole boxing thing up because I swear to you I will get in a fight with this dude Jake Paul. That is what I said to myself, and then the celebrity boxing came out. After this Aaron Carter thing, if Paul wants to give me a shot.

Jake Paul received a lot of attention from the NBA players and fans after beating Nate Robinson with a brutal KO in a fight that happened a few months ago. If he ever fights Jake Paul, Odom will have a significant physical advantage because of his 6'10, 250-pound frame, but his lack of boxing skills might be problematic. Even he admitted his punches are not strong, but with his reach, he plans to keep the opponents at bay and hopefully land a lucky punch that will knock them out.

I don't really hit that hard. By nature, I'm skinny. I'm on the slim side in my nature. My hands are light, but I am not heavy-handed. Even because of the reach, I could spare him, and it doesn't have to get ugly. I can just jab at him, and it doesn't have to get ugly.

It will be interesting to see how Lamar performs in his upcoming boxing match, considering he's been struggling with many personal and health issues in recent years. However, it seems he is back on track and finally got his life around after almost dying from various health problems caused by excessive use of drugs and multiple medications.
