According to the Footwear news, Nike is releasing the new version of the Kobe 5 in March. This way, Nike plans to honor the late great Kobe Bryant, and it’s expected that the shoe will also feature the Laker’s purple and gold colors.
The first edition of this shoe came out in 2010 after Lakers won the NBA championship against the Boston Celtics. The “Lakers” Zoom Kobe 5 Protro, will be available for purchase at a selected group of retailers on March 26, which is exactly two months after Bryant, his daughter, and seven other people lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash.
We were able to already see the shoe in action when Anthony Davis wore it at the All-Star game in Chicago. DeMar DeRozan was another player that wore it in one of his recent games.
