Michael Jordan can’t wait for the All-Star game in Charlotte: “The energy is unbelievable and I think it’s going to be a fun week”

This year’s NBA All-Star weekend will be hosted in Charlotte for the first time since 1991 and the game that was played in the old Charlotte Coliseum. The East won that game and Charles Barkley was the MVP.  After 28 years, the event is back in Charlotte with Kemba Walker being the only player from the local Charlotte Hornets team.

Michael Jordan who is the owner of the Hornets is heavily involved in the organization of this year’s event and in the press conference today he emphasized the pride he has for everyone who is working to make the weekend pleasant for both players and the fans.

As I said the energy has been unbelievable from the staff and the city. We’re also looking forward to reaching into the community, making sure that we support the community around the city. The energy is unbelievable and I think it’s going to be a fun week no matter what the weather is going to be. The fans that are coming out of here, will see what this city is all about and the dedication that they put the fort in. Thanks for coming out and hopefully they will pass on the positive message to the fans. Once again, with the whole work we have done behind the scenes, they have done an unbelievable job and I know I got a lot of work to do because we need to represent the city 100 percent and in the right frame of mind and from a classy standpoint.
