LUKA DONCIC IS NOT CONCERNED about the lack of playoff experience in the NBA

In only his second NBA season, Luka Doncic made the playoffs with the Dallas Mavericks, where he’ll have a tough task going up against the most stacked team in the league, the Los Angeles Clippers. Even though Luka had an astonishing season, some people question whether he is ready for playoff basketball, where the intensity and the stakes are much higher than in a regular game.

At the age of 21, Luka is slowly but surely becoming a superstar in the NBA, with his second season being a truly remarkable one. Luka is averaging 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists per game, but his impact on the game and the Mavs is much more significant than that. On top of that, unlike many 20-year-olds in the NBA, Luka already has plenty of experience playing in big games.

Luka started playing with the best players in Europe at the age of 17 as a member of the Real Madrid basketball team and still believes the experience he has is unparalleled to his younger peers in the NBA. He is aware of the responsibility that rests on his shoulders, something he got accustomed to while playing in Europe as a teenager.

“Yeah, it’s the playoffs. I’ve been in playoffs before, just in Europe. It’s not the same level but it’s the same emotions, and I’m excited for it for sure. “I’m gonna lean on that. It’s tough to play in Europe too. A way higher level in the NBA but the same emotion, so you gotta be ready.”

If the Mavs want to beat the Clippers in a seven-game series, their entire team will have to bring their A-game every single time. The dynamic duo of Doncic and Porzingis will definitely produce big numbers. Still, others on the Mavs team will have to step up big time if they want to upset the Clippers and shock the NBA world because even though they are young and really talented, the Clippers are the leading championship contender in the league.
