Lithuanian head coach was absolutely furious at the press conference following a loss against France after a questionable decision by the referees

Lithuania lost against France today in a very close game which means they didn’t qualify for the next round on the World Cup taking place in China. The loss wouldn’t be so problematic if it didn’t come after a very questionable decision made by the referees against the Lithuanian team in the last minute of the game. At the score 76-75 for France, Jonas Valanciunas missed the second free throw, however, it was obvious Rudy Gobert interfered with the basket. France ended up winning the game 78-75 and are advancing into the second round of the tournament.

After the game, Lithuanian head coach Dainius Adomaitis was furious, to say the least about the decisions referees were making this game that in his opinion were frustrating for his players and the entire team. He delivered a very powerful message towards FIBA and the officiating that took place in today’s game.

“Ask the questions for FIBA. Ask them, why are you asking me about such refereeing second game in a row. One game against Australia we are playing rugby and second game we can’t even play with contact. That is a f**ing joke. That is not basketball. That is not a system. For what do they have this VAR system. You don’t have to be smart, you have to be honest. Stop the game and watch what has happened in the game. These guys spend all summer, 2 months without families. They receive zero dollars os the biggest respect for them. But somebody doesn’t respect this game. This is a f**ing joke.
