LeBron James, Damian Lillard, and others explain what’s it like to receive criticism from ‘Inside The NBA’ crew

The guys from Inside the NBA were recently under a lot of spotlights because of their constant criticism towards modern NBA players. Some of the criticism and the things they said are valid, and they brought up good points; however, sometimes, they seem like biter old men not willing to accept the greatness of some of these modern players.

There were even some back and front confrontations between them and the younger players in recent weeks, but it seems nobody holds a grudge towards Shaq, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith. In a recent interview, NBA stars like Damian Lillard, Jimmy Butler, LeBron James, and Kyle Lowry expressed their relationship with the older players. Interestingly enough, they haven’t share any negative comments about the crew and even accept that some of their criticism is valid. They are HOF players who have a lot of knowledge about the game.

It’s always interesting when you see HOF out there speaking about your game. When it’s negative, you’re like, man; I wish he didn’t say this about me. When it’s positive, you feel some sense of validation.

Damian Lillard

I get criticized a lot from those guys besides EJ, he is cool, but Shaq and Charles, I appreciate it, to be honest, because they are HOF.

Kyle Lowry

They say good things; they say things I don’t like. It’s all truthful though, I will tell you that.

Jimmy Butler

They sit up there and shoot their s**t, they say what they say, and you can respect it or not. They don’t hold back, especially Chuck. They don’t hold back, but you respect it because they actually put in a lot of work. People think they just get up there and just criticizing, but they are putting in the work.

LeBron James

None of the players in this interview were recently facing any major criticism from Inside the NBA crew like, for example, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, James Harden, and some other players. It’s also true that there were several times when they even admitted they don’t watch the NBA or at least some teams/players that are not so popular or contending for a championship.

Even though they were great players in their respective times and obviously have immense knowledge about the game, they often seem unprepared and completely uninterested in some of the games and players they are covering. That leads to completely irrelevant criticism at certain times where players end up on headlines for no real reason while the Inside the NBA crew makes unnecessary jokes at their expense.
