Westbrook got a fan ejected for what???

With the caveat that we need to get a full report, this is getting out of hand. Last night Russell Westbrook got a fan ejected from a game for trash talking. What did the fan say?

If there is a problematic context of saying someone's cheekbones go to the back of their head I don't know about, my apologies. That being said, to throw out a paying customer for saying this is scandalous. Players get to kick out fans for yelling statistical facts and lame trash talking? This launches Westbrook at the top of the spoiled NBA players list, a category that's getting more crowded every day.

When James Dolan started kicking out fans because they would yell he should sell the team, the explanation we got was the league was powerless about the situation. To make it clear, I find Dolan's behavior a bigger issue but have no illusions it will get addressed in any meaningful way. That doesn't mean Silver shouldn't do something about this situation.

Players kicking fans out merely because they don't like what they hear is unacceptable, and this should be the line in the sand Silver draws with player empowerment. Players have been taking a lot of liberties under the Silver administration, but this is where he should draw the line. It's time to stop with permissive parenting.
