One of the biggest moves so far in the offseason was made by the Phoenix Suns, who landed Chris Paul in a blockbuster trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The trade involved Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, draft compensation, and draft picks.
The Suns front office was pressured by their best players Devin Booker to make significant improvements on the roster to push into the playoffs this season. They decided to bring in Paul, who proved he is still an elite player, especially after having a successful season with OKC in which nobody expected them to make the playoffs.
Booker and Paul immediately hit it off and are already working out together, doing multiple drills and pretty much building up the chemistry for the upcoming season. Chris Paul is known around the league as one of the most hardworking players, and this is the type of leadership and mentorship Booker needs to expand his game even more. It seems good times are ahead of the Suns, who haven't made the playoffs in 10 years. However, if they want to challenge top teams in the western conference, they will perhaps need to add one more all-star to their squad, so we might see more moves done by their front office in the near future.
