Tom Thibodeau praises Alec Burks as the Knicks end Hawks' 7-game winning streak

In their first matchup since the playoff exit last season, the New York Knicks managed to end Atlanta Hawks' 7-game win streak. Although we witnessed another tremendous performance by Trae Young, who recorded 33 points in the contest — this time around, the player of the game was undoubtedly, Alec Burks.

Phenomenal performance by Burks

Burks finished the game with 23 points, 7 boards, three assists, and two steals. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau had only words of praise for Alec after the big win — "What Alec gives us is size. He's going to contain the ball and also his playmaking ability and shooting, add it all up. It's a lot."

The Knicks are now 11-9 and have the right mentality going into their following game against the Brooklyn Nets on Nov 30. The Brooklyn Nets sit on top of the Eastern Conference, and a win against Brooklyn will give the Knicks that energy boost they need in order to become one of the top seeds in the East.
