Thon Maker wants to be traded

Thon Maker of the Milwaukee Bucks demanded a trade via his agent. The center is dissatisfied with his role in Wisconsin. This is reported by Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN. According to him, Maker's consultants told the Bucks that he would rather leave the Bucks. The former Lottery Pick wants a more prominent role with another team.

Milwaukee does not seem averse to trade and has been looking for a deal for the Big Man in recent weeks, but so far without success. Under the new head coach, Mike Budenholzer, Maker played little and did not have an essential role in the team.

Nevertheless, GM Jon Hurst should continue to believe in the breakthrough of Maker; he was already part of the Front Office in 2016 when the Bucks took the Australian somewhat surprisingly with the tenth pick. Now the Bucks have time until the February 7th trade deadline to arrange a possible deal. Maker was irregularly in the rotation, although center backup Ersan Ilyasova missed injured. Instead of Maker, Sophomore D.J. Wilson played the backup minutes behind Brook Lopez on the Five.
