Steve Kerr shares his opinion on the trial

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is known for commenting on things that happen and are relevant in US society. This time, he had a few things to say about the Kyle Rittenhоuse verdict that stirred up a lot of positive and negative criticism.

Many NBA players, coaches, and executives love to share their opinion on everything that is happening in their community and are not afraid to speak out no matter what the topic is at that time active. This time the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was a controversial topic that raised a lot of attention from the media and the people who carefully watched what would happen at his trial. Some supported his actions, while some believed these things shouldn't happen and that Rittenhouse should be punished for what he did that night in Kenosha.

The verdict came about that pronounced him not guilty, and that obviously didn't sit well with many people, with Warriors head coach Steve Kerr being one of those people. Kerr said he is disappointed and that American society is going down a dangerous road if these things continue to happen. Kerr is an avid supporter of stricter gun laws in the US and believes the government should step in and legislate that much better than how they are doing it right now.

"Yeah, I mean, the thing I'm most concerned about is the laws in this country. The fact that we are seemingly okaying a teenager's right to take an AR-15 into an area where there's civil unrest, that's really scary and concerning. But this is where we are with gun laws. This is why we have to have safer gun laws in place, to protect ourselves, to protect each other. It wasn't a shocking verdict. But one that poses a great risk going forward if we continue to go down this path of opеn carry and statеs determining that people can just carry- even underage people and weapons of war -- this is America. We're treading down a dangerous path."
