The opinions about the apparent cast are divided, as some of the biggest stars turned down the offers, but a lot of people are also satisfied with the choice of players for now.

The original in 1996 featured a lot of stars alongside the hero Michael Jordan, with names like Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Larry Johnson, and others.

It seems that the sequel will also try replicating the movie as much as they can with as many stars of the basketball world they can get to satisfy the fans and create a film worthy of being a sequel to such a classic.

The filming begins this summer, as the movie set to hit the theaters on July 16, 2021.
