Even though he missed almost half of the season so far, Rajon Rondo has fit well within the Lakers. Even though his minutes and production, in general, are not what they used to be, he is giving the team additional veteran present and championship experience. Rondo's primary role on the team is to put his teammates in the right situations to score, which is something LeBron was mostly in charge of this season.
Both Rondo and LeBron were fierce teammates back from those times when Rondo was playing for the Boston Celtics, and usually, LeBron's teams would often be on their path to the NBA finals. Rondo was never scared of saying how we weren't a big fan of LeBron. That is something that he inherited playing for the Celtics, who had developed a rivalry with the Miami Heat throughout those years.
Times have changed, and Rondo appreciates LeBron a lot more after now playing in his second season with him.
"I love LeBron. He's one of my favorite teammates I've ever played for. He's a very unselfish person. Can't really hate him honestly."
Rondo also elaborated it's a different perspective nowadays since they both have the common goal, and that is to win a championship with the Lakers. Rondo hasn't been playing in a great team ever since his days with the Boston Celtics. He is now in a great situation with the Lakers, playing with one of the best players in the world.
"I can't really hate him honestly. Back in the day when we played against him, that's the mindset that you have. ... It's a different perspective actually being in the locker room with him and understanding how genuine of a person he is off the court."
