Raja Bell hosted on the episode of Kanell & Bell and defended his arch-rival Kobe Bryant and his coaching strategies that raised a lot of attention from the media in recent days.

Kobe Bryant is coaching his daughter's basketball team and posted a photo after his team won fourth place which in his mind wasn't a success especially after one girl went to a dance recital rather than a basketball game. In Kobe's mind that was a big issue because she didn't dedicate completely to achieve the goal entire team prepared for months. Since a lot of people saw his post and read his opinion on the matter, some people thought he was too harsh towards the kid who missed out.

Raja Bell who is also coaching his kid's basketball team believes young players and teams should be awarded based on the amount of work and dedication they put in. Bell found himself in a similar situation like Kobe Bryant several times and knows that teaching kids from an early age that you should follow your passion whatever that is but you must expect a lot of adversity and challenge.
