Michael Jordan will introduce Kobe Bryant at Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan

“Now he’s got me, I’ll have to look at another crying meme for the next…” was the most memorable line at Kobe's memorial. In a moving speech, Michael Jordan revealed how close he and Kobe were. From the "at first, aggravating" questions, Kobe pestered Jordan 24/7 at the beginning of his career to talk about life and family once kids started dominating their lives. MJ's tears revealed his words were true - "I wanted to be the best big brother I could be." And it truly was a big brother - little brother relationship.

So it's no surprise the Bryants asked Michael Jordan to be Kobe's presenter at The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on May 15, and of course, MJ accepted. In one of the strongest Hall of Fame classes ever, Tim Duncan will be introduced by David Robinson and Kevin Garnett by Isiah Thomas. Rudy Tomjanovich will have Rockets legends Hakeem Olajuwon and Calvin Murphy on the stage with him. Sadly, Kobe isn't the only person being inducted posthumously. Oklahoma State head coach Eddie Sutton, who passed away last May, will be introduced by Sidney Moncrief, Bill Self, and John Calipari.

A truly star-studded cast in one of the greatest Hall of Fame classes, it will be a bitter-sweet celebration of basketball. Circle May 15th on your calendar, and prepare some tissues. It's going to be an emotional night.
