Luka Doncic will declare for the 2018 NBA Draft
While it's not official yet, his mother recently gave an interview for a European sports channel SportKlub in which she said he'll declare this year NBA draft, but will most likely not attend in person because he will be playing in the Spanish league finals at that time.
The NBA draft predictions are out there and the odds that you’ve heard about Luka Doncic are very high. Europe's Next Big Thing is coming to the NBA. Real Madrid’s teenage sensation is the best European prospect in years. Doncic is often in conversations for the No. 1 pick in next year’s draft and rightfully so. Last year he won the EuroBasket with Slovenia. The kid is a phenom — he turned 19 a month ago and these are his most recent highlights, judge for yourself.

Goran Dragic, Doncic’s Slovenian national teammate and captain, has called him “a born winner,” who will “be one of the best in the whole world.” He would know best, as the two co-starred in Slovenia’s first-ever EuroBasket championship. Dragic has known him since childhood after playing with Doncic’s father, Sasa.
“He’s going to be the best player in Europe in a couple of years, trust me on that. In the NBA, too. He’s a born winner. I’m not kidding. He already has a lot of trophies, medals, and I’m really happy for him. Mark my words, he’s going to be one of the best in the whole world.” — Goran Dragic
Will Doncic meet the expectations laid out for him? We shall see, only time will tell. However, one thing is for sure — Luka is the best player we've seen come from Europe in a long time.
