LeBron James' stat line from yesterday was almost identical to 'Niques from 30 years ago

Yesterday's LeBron heroics vs. the Celtics evocated the still vivid memory of the one specific Game 4 which was played three decades ago.

Boston Celtics, the defending NBA Champions from 1987, then ran into unbelievably acrobatic and physical Atlanta Hawks squad led by superstar Dominique Wilkins, who was later, surprisingly, left off the original Dream Team's roster for 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Remember?

With both teams not giving an inch, it would take seven hard-fought battles for Celtics to survive and prevail to EC Finals with the Pistons. But what the fans remember the most about that series is the spectacular match-up between Dominique Wilkins and Larry Bird, Celtics' superstar who played his last full NBA season, which culminated with 'Nique outscoring Bird by 47:34 in the decisive Game 7.
