LeBron James on DeMar DeRozan: We made him take contested 2s, but he buried them. And that's why he's the all-star he is"

San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers played in another exciting game last night which featured everything we love about the game of basketball.

Heroic performances in combination with a thriller ending is something every fan wants to see. These two teams put on a show and their two main stars did as well.

LeBron James put on another historic performance against the Raptors by passing Dirk Nowitzki on the all-time scoring list. LeBron lead the way for the Lakers with 35 points and 11 rebounds but that wasn't enough to stop the Spurs and especially DeMar DeRozan who had another great performance with his new team.

DeMar finished the game with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. What's also important to stress out is that he shot very well from the field going 14/23 and provided a clutch shot when Spurs needed it the most.

After the game, LeBron James said Josh Hart and Lakers defense, in general, did it's best on containing DeMar on the last play.

"Josh Hart did his job, stayed down on pump fakes all night, made him take contested 2s, but he buried them. And that's why he's the all-star he is"

Los Angeles Lakers are currently 2-5 which is not the start they were looking for, however, the season is long and they can only get better. Spurs, on the other hand, are 4-2 and it seems the DeRozan-Kawhi trade worked well for them because DeMar is currently playing the best basketball in his career.
