Kristaps Porzingis on playing with Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks: "It's a good vibe, were happy to be here"

The biggest blockbuster trade happened the other day when New York Knicks traded away Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr, Trey Burke, and Courtney Lee for DeAndre Jordan, Dennis Smith, Wesley Mat, hews and two first-round picks.

The trade immediately put to motion a lot of ideas about the future of both teams and whether was this trade good or bad for their clubs. Only future will tell if the teams made good moves there but it's definitely certain we're looking forward to seeing two young European stars playing together on the same team.

Kristaps was always compared to Dirk Nowitzki and it made actually made sense Dallas was looking for someone suitable enough to replace Dirk after he retires after this season. Even though Porzingis suffered a really bad injury and won't again play until next season, Dallas made a bold move that might pay off big time if Porzingis comes back as the same player as he was prior to the injury.

In a press conference today Porzingis shared what is it like to be Luka's teammate who was also present at the press conference and you could immediately tell the chemistry won't be an issue between the two

"It's great that he is here. A lot of the talk will be about him also so he wants to hear what you guys are talking about him. But its great he is here, supporting his teammates and we're excited to be his new teammates. It's a good vibe, were happy to be here."

Mark Cuban who was also present at the conference said his goal is to have Porzingis play for the Mavericks for 20 seasons if possible which is definitely a good sign.

Interesting times are ahead of Dallas Mavericks and and if some things play out well, the future will definitely be bright even after Dirk Nowitzki finally retires.
