Kevin Garnett thinks Derrick Rose should start for the Timberwolves

According to Kevin Garnett, Derrick Rose should be the starting point guard for the Timberwolves in the upcoming season.

Garnett believes that even though Rose is past his prime has a lot more to offer and has become craftier than ever before.

“You know, you get older, but the knowledge doesn’t go anywhere,” said Garnett, the Timberwolves legend who now appears regularly on TNT. “He’s more crafty now than ever in the pick-and-roll. He’s able to get shots for guys and he’s able to knock shots down, so yeah, I would.”

The former MVP came off the bench for the T-Wolves last season, backing up Jeff Teague and at times looked like D-Rose we know and love. Rose played productively especially during the playoffs when his Per 36 stats were impressive and would average 22/3/4 on 51/70/86. This was after not playing all season and not even having a comfortable jumper until Game 1. He was also very active and energetic on defense
