Kevin Durant is recovering from his injury and while he is going through a step by step process in order to get back on the courts he gave an interview for the Wall Street Journal where he reflected about certain aspects of his life and his career. After winning two NBA championships with the Warriors and playing in three consecutive NBA finals, Durant said he never felt like he was apart of their group.

"I came in there wanting to be part of a group, wanting to be part of a family, and definitely felt accepted. But I’ll never be one of those guys. I didn’t get drafted there.…"Steph Curry, obviously drafted there. Andre Iguodala, won the first Finals, first championship. Klay Thompson, drafted there. Draymond Green, drafted there. And the rest of the guys kind of rehabilitated their careers there. So me? Shit, how you going to rehabilitate me? What you going to teach me? How can you alter anything in my basketball life? I got an MVP already. I got scoring titles.

Durant also admited that it took him some time to realize he was completely different than the rest of their team. He felt he wasn't being fully accepted by the rest of the team during his time there, despite playing on a MVP level and helping the team win multiple NBA championships in a short time span.
