Kevin Durant has a lot of praise for Kawhi Leonard's game: "He got the longest paragraph on the scouting report."

In a recent interview for Hot 97, Kevin Durant talked about a lot of things surrounding his career with the Brooklyn Nets and who are his favorites to win the western conference. In his mind, the best teams in the west are the Lakers and the Clippers; however, he believes the most significant advantage the Clippers have is Kawhi Leonard.

Durant was extremely complimentary of Kawhi, saying he has all the tangibles and will give the Clippers that extra edge when facing off against other great teams in the NBA. According to Durant, the scouting report for Kawhi before the game is very long, mostly because he polished his game a lot in recent years. It was evident in the last year's playoffs for the Toronto Raptors when Kawhi, on several occasions, dismantled every team that was on his way to the NBA championship.

"Players don't sleep on him. He got the longest paragraph on the scouting report. You can't pull out your whole array of moves on him. I can. But the average player, It's still tough for me to pull out all my s**t against Kawhi."

It seems Durant changed his opinion about Kawhi because a couple of years ago, he called him a system player. Back then, Durant implied Kawhi is not capable of leading a team on his own. Durant's perception changed, and now he is respectful towards Kawhi and his ability to take over games in crucial situations. It will be interesting to see if he was right when saying the Clippers will come out of the western conference as the best team.
