Kevin Durant doubles down on his criticism of Jay Williams and the media: 'Keep me out all that corny ass talk'

kd & jay williams

Kevin Durant criticized former NBA player and analyst Jay Williams for falsifying a story about him, saying he doesn't want to be compared to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Jay Williams made up a story live about a conversation he apparently had with Durant, and soon enough, he was shut down by Durant himself, who said none of that was true.

Durant would go to his Twitter account to further share his frustrations for the false stories shared by the media. Unfortunately, often, the media fabricates stories to increase viewership, which bothers many players when they are a part of those narratives that may cause harm to their reputation. Durant also said he wants to be left out of the dumb questions the media asks him about legacy or which player is better than the other.

Mans will do anything to advance their careers in this media shit, wanting to be accepted by an industry that will dispose of you whenever they please. Keep me out all that corny ass talk about whos better and legacy and all that dumb ass shit. I don't even talk like that.

NBA players are no longer willing to speak with the media because often times the things they are saying get twister or misinterpreted. In this specific case, Williams shared something that apparently is not true. Nowadays, players have their own platforms where they can speak out and share what is on their minds, just like Durant did in this specific case.
