Kenyon Martin shares why the Warriors have a chance to win another title: "When that sh*t on the line, that little light-skinned boy can do some amazing things"

The Warriors, led by Curry and the crew, can still make some noise in the postseason.

The time comes now as the regular season draws to a long-awaited close, and the contenders for the postseason become clearer, with some teams carrying heavier expectations than others. Surprisingly, the Golden State Warriors seem in a prime position to become and emerge as dark horses despite facing numerous, to say the least, challenges all over the course of the year.

In what we can call a turbulent season for the four-time champions, marked by injuries to key players, long slumps, and the suspension of their heart and soul, Draymond Green, they still managed to secure a winning record heading in the final part of the season.

Yet, despite all those setbacks, the Warriors stand strong in the 10th spot of the fiercely competitive Western Conference with a 44-35 record. With three games left in the regular season, they have an opportunity to climb further, to sharpen their spears for the battle in the Play-In tournament.

K-Mart believes that the Warriors can still make some noise

Former NBA player turned analyst Kenyon Martin expresses confidence in the Warriors' playoff prospects, asserting that no team would really want to face them in the opening round of the postseason.

“I wouldn’t wanna play them in the first round,” he said confidently. “They proved last year, when that sh*t on the line, that little light-skinned boy can do some fu***** amazing things.”

Steph Curry needs no introduction, the best shooter of all time almost single-handedly carried his franchise to this point in the season, and he does not plan on stopping come Playoff time. Au contraire, Chef is known for turning it up a notch when the stakes are the highest, and this is why K-Mart claims that any team the Dubs may face in the opening round of the postseason could be in trouble.

Are the Warriors still worthy?

Not to mention the other Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, who is also one of the greatest shooters in history and can get hot instantly, he might be on the decline, but his shooting stroke remains one of the purest in the sport, and when you possess that kind of offensive firepower, games can quickly go in your favor, as Martin mentions, all Klay needs to do is help win a game or two for the Warriors with his shooting, the rest will finish the job.

“People can talk sh*t all they want about Klay, he washed, Klay this… He is a shooter, man, he can get that sh*t going two or three games in a row, that’s all you need. It’s the first to four. And they have four championships to prove that, they been there, they been in it. They still got their core pieces, they still got their brains on the sideline…” Martin added. “You can never count out the heart of the champion, and they have that.”

With the mix of battle-tested veterans and youngsters prepared to fight for every ball, every matchup Golden State might come up against is winnable. Although this was a season marred with negativity, the organization led by Steph, Klay, and Dray can still prove to everyone they are worthy.
