This season, the Washington Wizards are off to a great start with an 11-5 record behind a revamped squad consisting of mostly new players this year. To be more precise, this is the best start they've had since 1975.
In Saturday night's game, Washington beat Miami 103-100, behind a terrific all-around effort from most Wizards players. KCP finished the game strong with three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to seal the game.
KCP laughs out loud
During the post-game press conference, a reporter directed a rather sensitive question to KCP given his relationship with LeBron and the rest of the crew in L.A. Caldwel-Pope could not contain himself and laughed out loud.
The reporter asked: "You're having a great season so far, while the team that traded you (Lakers) has been a failure. Do you get satisfaction from that?"
Kentavious responded with a diplomatic answer, saying, "I'm happy where I'm at. I wasn't too upset about the trade. It was no biggie for me."
The Wizards are looking like a legitimate title contender, and a lot of praise should be given to their head coach Wes Unseld Jr. who was faced with a serious challenge by orchestrating a team with so many new faces — and thus far, he deserves a standing ovation.
