Jrue Holiday is shocked by how good Stephen Curry is playing recently

Stephen Curry has been on a spectacular streak for the past few weeks, showcasing he can put up 40 points with ease against pretty much any team in the NBA. He became the leading scorer in the NBA, overtaking that spot from Bradley Beal, and if you watched him play recently, you could understand why many think he belongs in the MVP conversation.

Usually, the greatness attests to someone's excellence is when his rival shares his appreciation and respect, which is something Jrue Holiday did for Curry on JJ Redick's podcast. Holiday is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA that is often complemented by others for his tenacity on defense. Curry mentioned him as one of the toughest defenders he has to face, but the respect between the two is mutual.

Holiday described Curry as an 'alien saying he never had to play somebody who is so comfortable taking any type of shots with ultimate confidence it will go in. Sometimes fouling Curry also doesn't work, and you can only hope he misses the shot.

I think they are the toughest. He's an alien. I don't understand. I fouled him on a half-court shot when we played them three weeks ago. I'm pretty sure he didn't even look at the rim, and he still almost made it. It hit the back of the rim, and they didn't call a foul. I'm like, what is wrong with you. What do you take? Can I get some of it, please? You are insane, dude.

Holiday also said Damian Lillard has the same type of impact on the game and the ability to hit big-time shots from pretty much any spot on the court. They both make scoring look easy, and that is the true sign you are watching greatness firsthand.

Basketball-wise he is putting this into little kid's heads like this is okay to try. No, it's not okay to try it because only he can do this. Only he does this, nobody else. Him and Dame, and when Dame gets in that mode just averaging 40 points by making it look easy. Shooting it from 38 feet. They are shooting step-backs with a hand in their face, getting fouled from 38 feet.
