Jerry West recently guested on the "Getcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. & Hatch" podcast hosted by Terrell Owens & Matthew Hatchette. He revealed some interesting stories about the most skilled player he's ever seen.

Michael Jordan was like a cat

When legends such as Jerry West offer some high praise for a player, better believe because he had it all in his career spanning 14 years. West shared on who's the most skilled he's ever seen play:

"I really like Michael Jordan and he and I are friendly and he never changes. He just doesn't change, he's the same guy all the time. This guy has done more spectacular things than any basketball player I've ever seen."

The former Lakers shooting guard also commended Michael Jordan on his other abilities aside from scoring. The 6-time champion's defense and athleticism don't get as much attention due to the wide range of his offensive arsenal. But one area that West was impressed most was Jordan's cat-like reflexes:

"Some guys jump quickly some guys have to wind up yeah Michael Jordan was like a cat. There's a play in particular that's really interesting to me. They were playing against the New York Knicks. He caught the ball on the baseline and he started this way and he turned around he dunks it over in such a little short area. I mean this area he was only jumping this way, some guys need a little bit more room, right? He knocked this ball over him."

The Logo names MJ as the GOAT

Jerry West, AKA 'The Logo', had been a long-time admirer of Jordan. Even though the two never had the chance to play in the same era, West still speaks highly of the Chicago Bulls legend, with West retiring a decade before MJ entered the league.

As mentioned in his interview with Terrell Owens and Matthew Hatchette, The Logo talked about MJ's ability to be dominant on both ends of the court. Jordan was named a member of the NBA All-Defensive first team nine times. The feat is highly impressive given his position and offensive skills. There's no other player in history like MJ, and it's not lost on Jerry West, who is himself a Hall of Famer and NBA legend as well.

It's nice to see West put Jordan in such high regard, which shows his humility and perspective as a basketball fan.
