The Dallas Cowboys have made fans across the NFL for their hilarious touchdown celebrations. Apparently, they also caught Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden's attention.

Philadelphia vs. Dallas rivalry

It probably would have been better for the Philadelphia 76ers star to have kept his reaction to himself and not posted it on social media. After all, the Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles share a longstanding rivalry.

The rivalry dates back to 1960 when the two franchises played in the same division. It has continued to this day, with the rivalry even being ranked No. 1 in the NFL in 1992 and 2014.

What probably makes Philly fans saltier is that the Cowboys lead the all-time series 72-55. Dallas also has five Super Bowls, while the Eagles won their first and only one in 2017.

Given this fact, it wouldn't be surprising if some Philadelphia fans addressed Harden for the slip.

Over-the-top celebration

But upon seeing the Cowboys' touchdown celebration, who could blame the former MVP for his reaction?

One of the most exciting things about watching NFL games is the players' antics whenever a TD is scored. Some of the celebrations can be savage and disrespectful, while some are performed just for fun.

Interestingly, the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry was reignited further because of a touchdown celebration. After Philadelphia made a TD against Dallas during the 2018 NFL season, they were preparing for an elaborate choreography. But Cowboys players prevented them from completing it.

It's evident how much the Eagles and Cowboys dislike each other, but perhaps it's not that clear for Harden. If he wants to get into the good graces of Philly sports fans, he should read up on the rivalry more.
