Kyrie Irving has been in hot water ever since he tweeted a link to a film filled with antisemitic messages. Howard Stern was among those who blasted the Brooklyn Nets star, going on an NSFW rant about Irving during an episode of his radio show.

"This Kyrie Irving is a complete douchebag," Stern said. "I mean, what a f*cking, he's a flat-earther. Here is Kyrie Irving. He's a f*cking douchebag. Unless you've been living under a rock, Kyrie was on Twitter, and he promoted, he reposted a thing for a book and a movie about how the Jews are killing the world or something like that."

"Testy Kyrie"

While an apology or retraction could have helped lessen the damage he had done, Irving declined to do either. He even got into an argument with a reporter during one press conference as he defended his actions.

Irving's verbal spat with the reporter also reached Stern, apparently.

"So, of course, there was a sh*t storm," Stern continued. "Here's a great clip. This reporter went up to Kyrie Irving, and you could see how testy Kyrie gets. Because the reporter's saying, 'Hey, you were promoting this thing, this bullsh*t on Twitter, how about it?' And he's like, 'I'm not promoting it. What do you mean?' 'Because, well, you retweeted it.' He goes, 'That doesn't mean I promoted it.' Like just playing a game of semantics, and he's just a f*cking moron.

As if that wasn't enough, the 68-year-old TV and radio personality proceeded to mock Irving and put words in his mouth.

"Just let me hate the Jews, for God's sakes," Stern said while "imitating" Irving. "Don't bust my balls. I just wanna go on Twitter and hate Jews. Can't you just leave me alone? Everyone hates Jews. Why are you picking on me? I'm just an NBA player. I don't understand anything. A lot of people hate the Jews. Why are you picking on me? The Earth is flat. I think the Jews are lizards. Next question. Stop it. Leave me be."

That is quite a barrage from Stern. While some can understand where he's coming from, considering he's of Jewish descent and makes these kinds of statements for a living, claiming that the Nets point guard hates Jews and trashing the player's belief seems uncalled for.

Apologetic Kyrie?

To be fair to KAI, it seems that he is finally facing the music and could possibly be apologetic for his recent actions and behaviors. He even met with NBA commissioner Adam Silver on Tuesday morning.

No details of the meeting have been disclosed yet. And some people around the league might conjecture that Irving is only complying with the requirements just to get his penalty over and done with. Even so, it is a step in the right direction.

The Nets' conditions for his reinstatement from his suspension have received some pushback from some NBA players. But if the former champion can prove that he is willing to work with the team and the community he has brought damage to, then he might be able to return to the court sooner than later.
