Giannis Antetokounmpo is, in the eyes of many NBA fans and analysts, currently the undisputed best player in the league, and with sound reasoning. The 2x MVP and NBA Champion has managed to fulfill his potential and become an unstoppable force. But his dominating style of play and scary look are the polar opposite of Giannis outside the court, where he is simply a cheesy dad and family man.

Dad jokes

When talking about some of the biggest superstars currently in the NBA, we usually think of guys that are very flashy, all over the place from commercials to special events, living the glamorous life. But Giannis seems to be the polar opposite.

Coming from nothing, the rough streets of Greece made Antetokounmpo a very humble person that is all about his family. And now, when he is so successful and full of money, that hasn't changed. Giannis is not the type of guy to be seen partying around and splurging his money.

You are much more likely to see him in his homemade videos, teasing his wife, playing with his kids, telling dad jokes, and being genuinely hilarious. On a recent Instagram post, Giannis decided to tell the story of his wife cheating on him and turn it into a very corny joke.

"First time I heard that my wife was cheating on me was kind of like a hard pill to swallow. She texted me back, she was like, 'I'll be back in like 10-15 minutes max.' And I was like, 'Who the hell is Max? My name is Giannis.'" Antetokounmpo told the story on his IG.

Although it is just one of many classic and cringy dad jokes, in the end, it's not hard to believe some similar type of conversation transpired between Giannis and his wife due to the language barrier. Obviously, Giannis didn't speak English too well at the start of his career, but with years of experience, he has become much better.

It's really wholesome to see that someone that has made it so big from nothing has kept his values in the right place, displaying a different type of superstar, very laid back and easy-going, focused on his family and good vibes, all while staying loyal to his team and city. In the end, it has really paid off for Giannis, and there is still so much more to see from him.
