Giannis Antetokoumnpo tears up during his MVP speech

After a tremendous regular season with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokoumnpo won the MVP award in a close race between him and James Harden, who had a historic season by all measures. A lot of fans and analysts believed Harden should have won the MVP award simply because of his scoring achievements, however, the argument in favor of Giannis was that his team was more successful both in the regular season but also in the playoffs.

Throughout the regular season, Giannis averaged 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists and lead the Bucks to the best record in the league and their best record in several decades.

During the NBA Awards, Giannis received his MVP trophy and gave a heartwarming speech that brought him and his family members to tears. Giannis thanked his mom and his brothers for the player and the person he is right now and remembered the hard times growing up in Greece.
